Parent/Family Advisory Council
As parents and guardians of children with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, the Parent/Family Advisory Council (PFAC) (formally known as the Parent Working Group (PWG)) is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the young people and their families who live with IBD. In partnership with the ImproveCareNow Network and the local Care Center teams, the PFAC empowers patients and their families to thrive in their lives by improving the quality and outcomes of IBD care.

The PFAC recognizes the value of connecting parents across ImproveCareNow to enable shared progress and involvement of parent partners. With this end in mind, The PFAC Membership Team created the PWG Directory. Parents who would like to receive and/or be included in the directory should sign up for the PFAC. Once an active member (having attended one or more PFAC meetings), you are eligible to receive and be added to the directory. Once eligible, please email [email protected] to request your copy and/or let us know you'd like to be included in the directory.

Patient Advisory Council
The Patient Advisory Council (PAC) is a group of young (14 years and up), passionate and motivated patients with IBD. Together, the PAC is a voice for all patients that receive care at an ImproveCareNow Center. They contribute to research studies and the development of health care innovations; they share valuable experiences with healthcare professionals, researchers and others; and they raise awareness of IBD and ImproveCareNow by writing stories on LOOP and other social media channels.

Currently about 55% of children and youth with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis who are cared for by pediatric gastroenterologists in the US are at participating ImproveCareNow centers. ImproveCareNow centers range from small private practices to the largest and best children’s hospitals.
We invite all centers regularly caring for pediatric patients with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis to join the ImproveCareNow Network. Check our Care Center map to see if your hospital or clinic is already part of ImproveCareNow.
